Journal Entry #11 (Mar 30-Apr 5): Scenario Presentation

Here is the powerpoint slideshow from my presentation on the restaurant scenario.  I looked up some of my information from one of my translation books, the rest of the information I knew from class.

    Hi Clayton,

This is well researched. In scene 3, you could use the phrase which I wanted. You may need to maintain conversations to get a free meal. You are right. It’s not your fault. You should mention ‘why do I have to pay?’

どうして、お金をはらわなければいけないのですか? (Why do I have to pay?)
あなたのミスですよね? (It is your fault, isn’t it?)

What would you do in the following situation?

“You are complaining about the dish you received. You finally get the one you want. You finish eating it, but you don’t want to pay for it. It’s because you had to wait for 25 more minutes to receive the dish you ordered. However, the store manager continue to ask you to pay for it, because you ate the dish you ordered. How do you negotiate the price in this situation? Do you want to give up and pay for it?

This might be your next journal entry, Clayton.
